iDirect Government Technologies

The iGT Operation and Maintenance course is intended for those responsible for the operation and management of iGT satellite communications products and networks. The course provides the skills necessary to operate and manage typical iGT satellite networks as well as iGT remote equipment. In addition, the course provides the basic knowledge needed to install and utilize the entire iGT suite of applications: iBuilder, iMonitor, and iSite.

Utilizing clearly presented lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises, students gain an understanding of all network operations from the iGT perspective.

To quickly determine network problems, students study the satellite and data communications related components of the network, with an understanding of general data communications protocols and procedures that are associated with the data flow through their iGT network.

Expanding on basic satellite communications and data communications theory, the course provides an in-depth understanding of the iGT hardware and software platform. Students complete a number of hands-on exercises using the iGT platform to reinforce the structured course material.
