iDirect 15000 series™ 5IF Satellite Hub
The 5IF universal hub is a carrier-class, 20 slot, 11U, 19” rack mountable chassis that houses up to 20 Hub Line Cards. It is highly scalable, allowing for multiple inroute networks within the same chassis and is designed for providers offering service on multiple satellites, allowing access to up to 5 satellites, multiple transponders, and multiple band from one location. The chassis supports C, Ku, and Ka band transponders with carrier class redundancy.
The hub can be scaled in terms of networks, carriers, carrier size, management and control infrastructure, processing capacity and allocated bandwidth.

- Supports IP data rates on the outbound up to 20 Mbps per iNFINITI line card and up to 160 Mbps per Evolution line card
- Size of carriers on the inroute can scale up to 10Mbps, in 1bps increments
- Add inroutes to a network, without affecting the rest of the networks
- Both Public and Private IP addressing within the same chassis
- TCP acceleration available in both directions
- GiG Ethernet connection supporting carrier symbol rates of up the maximum
- Application QoS and prioritization available in both directions
- CIR and Dynamic CIR available on a per-satellite router basis
- Application triggered Dynamic CIR allows for configuration of a more scalable network
- Includes an iVantage NMS High Capacity Server and loaded NMS Server software
- Includes an Protocol Processor High Capacity Server with loaded software
